The setlist was filled with absolute gems, the fan favourites like “Glasgow,” “Hallelujah Moment,” “Gloria,” “Season,” and “Millionaires” had the room singing in unison. Each song hit harder than the last. As someone who’s followed The Snuts for a while, it was clear they’ve grown, yet they continue to push forward and keep creating and improving, which is lovely to see. With that said, the finale felt a little short of expectations, there was no standout closing moment to seal the night, which left a slight gap in an otherwise thrilling set. Opening the show was Ellur, a rising indie-pop artist from Halifax. She started the show with determination and clear passion for music and her fans, something to truly appreciate. She blended perfectly upbeat tracks with heartfelt, emotional ones, for those who didn’t know her, they were impressed with her performance. Her stage presence was magnetic, dancing one minute, pouring her heart out the next. She warmed up the room beautifully, connecting with the crowd in a way that The Snuts, despite their brilliant performance, could have leaned into more. A little more audience interaction, hand claps, singalongs, or just a few candid moments, might have taken the experience to an even higher level. Still, it was a fantastic night. The Snuts proved exactly why their fan base continues to grow. Hopefully, Middlesbrough is on their schedule more often.
